Between March 6 and March 13, 2008, Dr. Hecht delivered three lectures on the implications of astrobiology at the University of Arizona.

* On December 8, 2002, the 92nd Street Y's Kaufman Concert Hall, in New York City hosted Garrison Keillor and Friends, an afternoon of poems in celebration of Good Poems. Keillor was joined by poets Jennifer Michael Hecht, Sharon Olds, and Gerald Stern, as they read dozens of poems from the book to an appreciative audience of 700.
